Utah Student Robotics Team competes in the NASA Lunabotics Competition

The Utah Student Robotics team from the University of Utah traveled to Florida this spring to compete in the NASA Lunabotics Competition hosted by the University of Central Florida. Following a strong performance, the Utah team was selected as one of only ten teams to advance to the final competition at NASA's Kennedy Space Center held May 19-21, 2026. Competing among the nation's top collegiate robotics teams provided an invaluable opportunity for the University of Utah students to apply their engineering, software, and systems integration skills in a challenging real-world environment. The team was also honored to receive the 3rd Place Autonomy Award from Caterpillar, recognizing excellence in autonomous robotic performance.
